Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown on September 22, 2022.
Last year, videogame developer KT Racing gave little information when it teased that the Test Drive Unlimited videogame franchise would be returning. It’s the third installment. The game’s name was revealed in the original CGI teaser Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. However, a new teaser dropped today and reveals more. The trailer announces the location of the game and its release date.
Modern Test Drive game versions have made location an integral part of open-world driving experiences. Solar Crown follows suit. Racers will be able to take the new game to Hong Kong’s high-tech, neon-lined streets in high-definition glory. In previous installments, gamers were taken to Oahu (Hawaii) and Ibiza (Spain). The new game will not restrict racers to the streets of cities. However, portions of Hong Kong Island will be available for them, making it great for off-road fun. The trailer showcases the island’s coastline and tree-covered hills.
The game’s story is still a mystery, but it will likely see gamers competing against street racers in Hong Kong for the title. In previous installments, gamers were able to purchase homes, clothes and new cars. It’s possible that this feature will return in the next game. Trailers so far are all CGI. This doesn’t give us a glimpse of the final graphics. However, the trailers do promise a lot.
Unlimited Solar Crown will be available for testing on gaming consoles and computers starting September 22, 2022. The game will be available on all the current gaming hardware (the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) and on both the PlayStation 4 as well as the Xbox One. KT Racing is well-known for its WRC, TT Isle of Man game franchises.
