This Miata is an exceptional product, combining high-end components with hand-built parts.
The Mazda Miata is a popular car that enthusiasts love because it has a great chassis and is fun to drive. It’s an amazing car to drive. This is partly why it’s so affordable, especially when compared with other sports cars.
What happens when a Miata becomes expensive? It is still a great car. It is, in a word, a great car. To see if you agree, you’ll need to watch the video on Toyo Tires’ official YouTube channel.
Miata Action:
Dionne Mascunana is responsible for Toyo Tires’ social media presence. He released this video to show the build of his 1994 Mazda Miata. Mascunana claims that the car was built in one month and that all the work, except the paint, was done by him.
Mascunana owns the car but it was displayed at the Toyo Tires booth during SEMA 2013. We can see why this build is so meticulous.
It is constructed from carefully selected parts, high-end components and rare JDM accessories. The massively-wide bolt-on Rocket Bunny flares don’t have enough width to accommodate the wider CCW Classic wheels. They are naturally shod with stretched Toyo tires.
Mascunana made the lip kit himself, and the carbon fiber mirrors with low profile came from Japan. It’s not the Miata stock color, but a Ferrari one.
The suspension received the same attention, with Mazda tuning powerhouse Racing Beat providing a few components as well as the intake, and exhaust. Mascunana intends to LS swap Mascunana’s car in the near future.
Mascunana said he wanted an “OEM plus” interior. As an example of high-end components used in this build, the interior is dominated by Recaro seats.
Mascunana estimates that he has invested around $70,000 in this build. We think it’s worth every dollar.
