These are very popular old VW buses. These old VW buses, like the first-generation T1 23 window Sambas, are selling at six-figures and in great condition. The older classic-style buses still have a lot of appeal, but this 1978 Kombi mini-motorhome has been custom-modified to be one of our favorites. What’s the best thing? The best part? You will need to pay a little more for shipping if you want to buy this in the States. It is currently traveling through South America, starting in Brazil from Sao Paulo.

The seller lists a long list of repairs and updates that include a vehicle restoration as well as camper-focused additions. This was done in December 2018 and 2017. The summary on the mechanical/functional side is that it’s rust-free with new panels installed as needed, updated electrics, a rebuilt 1,600 cc engine, new brakes, new suspension, and of course the sweet two-tone red/white exterior.
The vanlife aspect of the van is also a recent project. According to the post, the van has been completely insulated. It also features a full kitchen and a new water pump. Custom furniture and new seats are also included. Although there aren’t any bathroom facilities, the van reportedly has a 10-gallon (40.4-liter) water tank. It looks amazing inside and is perfect for weekend getaways.

The seller is located in Brazil so the bus will be there. It doesn’t seem to be an issue for most interested parties, as there are many questions about shipping the bus to other countries. Although the post was posted on March 31, it is still active so you still have a chance of giving this sweet ride a new home.
