Surprisingly the incident wasn’t part of the shenanigans shown in the video.
The Daily Driven Exotics guys are back with another video. They cruise around Los Angeles in their collection of supercars with their friends. Damon takes us along on the ride and makes us feel like we are part of the crew. The Murcielago fire and the subsequent crash are a key part of the video. But there is a lot more.
This video brings back memories of our many times together, including on rooftop parking lots and at the gas station where we mostly loitered. The main difference is the quality of the cars involved – these guys don’t ride around in Mustangs and WRXs or S2000s. They’re driving AMGs and Audi R8s and Lamborghinis.
Supercar shenanigans:
The video’s setting is quite different from our typical Midwestern cruises. First, Damon and Dave take a drive along the Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. They rev their engines at almost every stoplight. Although it sounds immature, it is harmless fun and reminds us of our misplaced youth.
The video’s common theme is Dave’s oil problems. Dave pulls out a shop cloth to check the R8’s oil level while he is stopped at Rodeo for some carspotting. They see tons of exotic iron as they drive down the boulevard while they wait.
They have some fun in a garage before heading back to the station to get fuel and oil for Dave’s car. They are sent a video by a friend who lost his ’06 Lamborghini Murcielago while driving on the 110 freeway close to San Pedro. T
The car hit a barrier, burst into flames and the owner recorded the car burning to the ground. This is a very sobering reminder that you need to be safe and sensible when you have several hundred horsepower.
DailyDrivenExotics crew was glad to hear that he is okay. The night ended with a trip at Taco Bell, like so many other cruising sessions we’ve had.
