July 18, 2019, a date we are pretty certain is on the calendars for the mid engined Corvette enthusiasts. Although the launch date for the Corvette C8 may be a month away it appears that Chevrolet already sent one sample of the American supercar to one its customers. Or maybe not.

You will first notice that Cronley used a little bit of rain to film the video. This should have been visible on the car’s body, if it was real. We think there was an intentional jump in the rendering around 00:00.18. This was to let you know it was just a rendering.

It’s a brilliant rendering and video editing job. We’re grateful to Cronley for showing us how a mid-engined Corvette might look in our driveways. This should whet the appetite of who reserved the C8 in 2014.

What we know about the 2020 Mid-Engined Corvette C8

The Corvette C8 will be unveiled on July 18, 2019, as previously announced. The historic event will take place in Orange County, Southern California. Media and VIP invitations were sent out as early as May. Production of the Corvette mid-engined will begin towards the end 2019 and customer deliveries will start around the middle of 2020.

For those who are just starting to reserve a unit, it might take a year before the video you see above becomes a reality.
