It is still many years away until the next generation.

More news about The TT’s Electric Future
Schot, at Audi’s annual meeting announced that the company would replace TT with an electric sports car. He seemed to hint that the model would not carry the TT name. Schot suggested that the company would like the EV to be priced similarly as the TT. This suggests a starting price of about $45,000.
The TT EV’s details are still a mystery. It is not known what the car will look like, when it will arrive and what kind of powertrain it uses. Using Volkswagen Group’s electric-vehicle-focused MEB platform seems very likely because the automaker is using this underpinning for a wide variety of upcoming models, starting with the VW ID 3 in mid-2020.
According to rumors , the current generation of TT will remain in production until 2022 . This means that there is still plenty of time for the combustion-powered version to be enjoyed before the EV takes its place. The Four Rings will continue to keep the sports car in top shape. In 2018, the regular model was given a facelift that included minor styling changes and standard equipment. The TT RS received updates in 2019, which gave the hotter model new design options and better infotainment software.
