There have been many photos and videos taken of the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet at the nuburgring, but these shots capture two of them in the streets of Puglia.

These cars have body covers that match those on other vehicles. 911 Turbo Test mules. Porsche uses fake parts to cover the production-spec front fascia. Also, the rear bumper acts as a placeholder. The Nurburgring’s most recent models have a slightly different tail. They also sport a quad exit exhaust. The side mirrors of these two vehicles are folded in half, but it doesn’t seem to reduce their width.

Although we don’t have any spy shots of the 911 Turbo interior, it is possible to judge from past generations that there are no significant changes compared to the 911 Carrera.

Porsche has not yet officially discussed the new 911 Turbo’s powertrain. It would likely use an updated version the twin-turbo flat-six 3.8-liter engine. The regular model will produce around 600 horsepower (447 megawatts). The S model, which is more powerful, produces 640 horsepower (477 kW). Both models are said to use an eight speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.

The 911 Turbo Cabriolet spy shots are not encouraging. However, the model is unlikely to make its debut anytime soon. The coupe will be displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The convertible will not arrive at the same moment as the fixed-roof model. Although the droptop may be unveiled before the end the year, sales are not expected to begin until 2020.
