It also sounds menacing.
What would you do if your bank account was so impressive that Kim Kardashian would be jealous? If you had a passion for speed and a love for Lamborghini, what would you do? The Italian automaker would build you a supercar to match your wild vehicle demands. The Lamborghini SC18 Alston is the result. This supercar couldn’t have been built using normal channels. The customer instead tapped Squadra Corse Lamborghini’s motorsports division to construct the creation. It made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The latest from Goodwood
The video below shows us the SC18 Alston up close. The video shows all the unique exterior parts of the car as well as a glimpse inside where you will find many more. The video shows Alston lining up at Goodwood before he takes off after another Lamborghini.
The wild exterior hides a Lamborghini Aventador. It is wrapped in an intimidating package that heavily borrows from the Huracan GT3EVO. This includes the hood. The Huracan Trofeo EVO also includes the scoops, fins, and fenders. The most striking feature is the huge rear carbon-fiber wings that can be manually adjusted to three positions. This allows for greater downforce and less drag on top-speed runs.
Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter V12 makes the beast 770 horsepower (570 kilowatts) as well as 531 pound-feet (701 Newton-meterss) of torque in Alston. The engine is powered by a seven-speed gearbox. Other performance specs are not known. Top speed and its zero to 62-miles-per-hour (100-kilometers-per-hour) time are unknown, and will likely remain so as there’s only one in the world and it’s privately owned.
It is rare to see the SC18 Alston in action, let alone at a track. This is one of few occasions the car will be out in public. It’s also available on video for our enjoyment.
