Bugatti will livestream it.
We can now put to rest the rumors. After months of speculation, rumors and a little bit of hope, Bugatti confirmed that it will reveal the EB110 successor at Pebble Beach later this week. The revealing teaser below by Bugatti reveals its plans. Bugatti will livestream Friday’s unveiling at 11:20 am PDT/8:20 PM CEST during The Quail Motorsports Gathering. It shouldn’t surprise that Bugatti EB110 will be the successor. The automaker is not shy about revealing its plans.
A report claiming that Bugatti was planning to display a new car at Monterey Car Week in June revealed that the company had been preparing. A report stated that Bugatti had sold some of these mystery cars. We were left to wonder what Bugatti was thinking at the time. It’s not as if Bugatti hasn’t used Pebble Beach before for unveilings. The automaker debuted the Divo there last year. The speculation ran wild.
The Girado & Company Instagram page, which sells some of the most valuable collector cars in the world (), released more information a month later. According to the post, Bugatti would unveil a new car that was inspired by the original EB110 SS. Only 10 cars would be made and its price would be 8 million euros ($8,942,000 in current exchange rates).
A video released by the automaker earlier this week showed an alleged model underneath a white sheet. This was the final nail in the coffin of the rumor mill. The vehicle beneath seemed to retain some of the EB110’s original features, such as the circular inlets between the side windows and the downward-slanting nose.
We are now confident that 10 people will be the lucky owners of the Bugatti EB110’s modern-day successor – we’re jealous.
