Kansas Dealer Sells Ford Ranger Raptor Inspired Baja Package

Is there a Ranger Raptor in America, no? No problem.

Ford introduced the Ranger Raptor to Australia over a year ago, before it was brought to Europe several months later. Although the Ranger Raptor has been spotted in North America multiple times, it is still not seen on American soil. The official word from the Blue Oval is that it will not be coming to the United States. Some Ford dealers have offered Raptor-like versions to the Ranger.

Another Ford dealership, which started in Los Angeles this year, is trying to make the Raptor more maneuverable and off-road capable. Long McArthur Ford, Salina, Kansas began with an XLT trim and the 302A equipment set in the Super Crew body style. The optional tow and FX4 offroad packages were added.

The most obvious change is the replacement of the standard grille with a custom one that prominently features the Ford lettering, as seen on the official Ranger Raptor. To further indicate that this pickup is not the standard model, there are body graphics. The rear and front fender flares serve the same purpose.

These cosmetic changes don’t make the Ranger more capable of handling rough terrain. But Long McArthur Ford did more than that, implementing actual hardware modifications. The front suspension is combined with Fox 2.0 rear springs. Toyo 33-inch offroad tires for the custom-black wheels are installed at both axles.
