The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is inside.
A photo of the interior of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette has been allegedly leaked online by the Corvette Forum. It was later tweeted out by Bozi Tatarevic (see further). Motor1.com cannot confirm that the image depicts the interior of the Corvette’s mid-engine Corvette. The photo composition is reminiscent of a press photo.
Here’s the Real Deal Holyfield
This photo shows that the Corvette’s new design is not in line with the current trend of using fewer buttons and replacing them by digital displays. The center console is adorned with a large number of buttons that run up to the top. These buttons are primarily for HVAC controls and heating the seats.
The driver is the focal point of all the rest of the cockpit. The driver is the center of the infotainment screen. It might be difficult for the passenger to reach the controls if they need to make adjustments. On the center console are more switches, including the push-button transmission selections and infotainment system controls.
The steering wheel is the same twospoke, square-off shape as a leak. The main difference is the red stripe at 12 o’clock. There are quite a few buttons on it.
A fully digital instrument cluster is hidden behind the steering wheel. The left side of this image shows the display blank. The center is a combination of a speedometer and tachometer. The Performance section is at the top. The graph below appears to be a G force monitor.
There are several buttons on the door panel that can be used by the driver if they still need them. There are controls for mirrors and windows.
The debut of the C8 Corvette is tonight at 8:00 PM PT. This works out to 11:00 ET or 3:00 GMT. The unveiling stream can be viewed here. Motor1.com also attended the premiere. Check back for video and photos from the event.
