Gaspare Conticelli renders the Lamborghini SV-719, a model for the brand’s future supercars. While the design is still angular, it incorporates more curves to give it a fresher look.

Conticelli’s design places emphasis on aerodynamics. Two large inlets at the front of the vehicle channel air through the axle, and along the sides. This air would be routed through smaller openings at the rear corners to cool the engine.

Although the large openings are eye-catching, they would also eat into passenger space. The renderings suggest that the driver may need to be in the middle of the cockpit in order to have enough room for the pedals and steering wheel. A passenger could be accommodated in a more stout position, similar to the McLaren F1.

Motor1.com recently had the opportunity to talk about Lambo’s future with Federico Foschini, chief commercial officer. Although there are new vehicles in the pipeline, the company does not plan to change from its current three-model lineup. A successor to the Aventador will reportedly be equipped with a hybrid assisted version of the existing V12, and run through a dual clutch gearbox. According to current information, the model could be released as early as 2020 or as late as 2022.
