6×6 is often used to refer to the Mercedes G63 AMG6x6. Top Gear’s Richard Hammond demonstrated just how absurd that vehicle was. We have yet another absurd 6×6 creation. Patriot Campers used a Toyota Land Cruiser and added an axle. They went crazy from there.

The video features a Patriot Camper employee demonstrating the Toyota Land CruiserSuperTourer 6×6 with all its absurdities. Patriot Campers is a leader in overlanding modification. They also build their own trailers, wheels, and utility canopies. Their products are Australian-made and built to withstand the most extreme off-road conditions.

The employee said that the extra-wheeled design was “just cool”. Although it may seem extravagant, the six-wheel Cruiser can do more than you might imagine. The Land Cruiser has three locking differentials at each axle. Locking differentials allow wheels to spin at the same speed, increasing traction when driving off-road. Add an additional axle and you get even more grip.

The 6×6 modifications also increase the vehicle’s load capacity. The Land Cruiser can carry up to 4,500 kg (9,920 lb) of extra cargo. Every bit counts with overlanding vehicles when it comes to loading capacity.

This video also highlights the additional features included in the company’s SuperTourer package. This kit includes King remote reservoir suspension back with adjustable airbags.

The package includes the modifications below and is built around a custom made truck bed. The aluminum bed is lightweight, strong and resistant to corrosion thanks to its aluminum construction. The bed contains a water pump and toolbox as well as a winch and roll-out storage to store additional equipment. A long-range, adventure-ready fuel tank is included in the vehicle. It’s ready for any journey.

This monster, despite its extensive modifications is still road legal with a standard driver’s license. This 6×6 Cruiser is both elegant and absurd, leaving a lasting impression.
