Elgrand will also offer an all-wheel drive option. The top-end powerplant will be a 3.5 Liter engine with 280 PS (206kW) and 344 Nm torque.
Nissan refers to it as the “King of Minivans”, and has just revealed the third-generation Elgrand for Japan.
It will be called the Nissan Quest in the United States. This vehicle will arrive in the early part of 2011, and will share the Elgrand’s platform, but it will have stylistic differences like the front fascia or rear end.
The top-end Elgrand will have an all-wheel-drive variant with a 3.5-liter petrol/gasoline motor with 280 PS (206kW) and 344Nm of torque. A 3.5-liter engine can be used as a 2WD, while a 2.5-liter petrol/gasoline engine with 170 PS (125kW), and 245 Nm torque will be available. The Xtronic CVT M6 transmission will pair both engines. The CVT gearbox is kept running smoothly by the Adaptive Shift Control system to ensure a high fuel-economy.
The Elgrand is a luxury people-mover that can carry up to 8 passengers. It features tech goodies like Quick Comfort Seat Heater and Around View Monitor. Wide View Monitor has Wide View Monitor.
Japan will soon be able to purchase the model.
