A classic Ford Mustang Fastback or a Ferrari 488 GT3 racer are also available.
Do you love Lego? You might have to make some time for this in the coming months. The company also released the first images of its 2018 Lego Speed Champions set. Six new kits are added to the already successful series that has been available since 2015. Starting March 1, unique offerings such as a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback and a Fiesta M-Sport WRC will be available.
Six new sets will include nine cars, including the aforementioned 68 Ford Mustang Fastback, Fiesta M-Sport WRC and the Fiesta M-Sport WRC. There will also be a new Ferrari 488 GT3 Ferrari Corsa, a Porsche 911 RSR and a Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0. A trio of Ferrari race cars, past and present, are part of the Ferrari Ultimate Garage set: the 488 GTE and 312 T4, as well as the legendary 250 GTO.
The new Speed Champions sets will include a customized minifigure and a few elements that are unique to each vehicle. For example, the classic Mustang Fastback will have a quarter-mile clock. The Ferrari Ultimate Garage has a whole suite of minifigures so that you can create your Lego racing fantasies in your living room.
Although Lego has not yet listed an official price for these kits, it is safe to assume the Ferrari Ultimate Garage will be most expensive. The previous Speed Champions sets, such as the Bugatti Chiron or the Mercedes AMG GT3, cost as low as $14.99. More intricate sets, such as the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One teams, can go for as high as $99.99.
The company’s current lineup of Lego vehicles includes the Speed Champions sets. These 15 are our top-rated favorites.
