Honda has given us a few sneak previews and a near-production prototype at Goodwood Festival of Speed to prepare us for the final mass production version of the car. Now, the Japanese company has released the EV version that you can actually buy at your local dealership. At least, if you’re in Europe.

Rendered Type R Versions:

Honda plans to electrify all of its vehicles by 2025 and have the E play a significant role in that goal. The cute-as a button city car has not changed much in its transition from concept to production. However, the good news is that two 6-inch screens within the vehicle are now live images thanks to the study’s side camera acting as side mirrors.

There’s even more good news. The Honda is a fun car to drive around town. It has a perfect 50/50 weight balance and rear-wheel drive. The car’s electric motor, located on the rear axle of the vehicle, will come in two outputs: 136 horsepower (100 Kilowatts) or 154 hp (135 kW), each with a peak torque figure of 232 pound feet (315 Newton-meters). This is enough power to accelerate the car from 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in just eight seconds.

The four-door E can travel up 137 miles (220 km) on one charge of its 35.5-kWh battery. This is a significant advantage for zero-emission city cars. Fast-charging allows the battery to be charged in 30 minutes and provides juice for approximately 110 miles (177km).

Everything You Need to Know About the Honda E:

The Honda E is a smart interface that offers connectivity with its dual 12.3-inch touchscreen displays. The Honda Personal Assistant app is the highlight of the system. It uses “unique context understanding to create natural conversations” and provides access to a variety of online services. Simply say “OK Honda” to tell the car your question or instruction.

2020 Jeep Wrangler Diesel V6 Announced with 442 LB-FT

Only the four-door Unlimited body style will be able to use the 3.0-liter engine.

It was inevitable, and it is almost here. Rumours of a diesel-fueled Wrangler date back February 2013, when JK generation was alive. But it’s only now that the fourth generation (JL), Jeep will finally give its iconic off-roader a powerful engine. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel-V6 engine will arrive in the United States at the end of this year. It will only be available on the more practical four door body.

Update:

Some will be disappointed that the EcoDiesel is limited to the

Wrangler

Unlimitless, these people can at most take comfort in knowing

Jeep

The engine will be available in all trim levels. The engine will produce 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet (602 Newton-meters) torque. This is comparable to the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel in terms of horsepower, but lower by 38 lb/ft (52 Nm).

How does the diesel compare to the Wrangler’s gasoline engine? The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four is rated at 295 hp (400 Nm), while the naturally aspirated V6 produces 285 hp (353 Nm) and 260lb-ft (353Nm). The Wrangler-based Gladiator pickup trucks are available with the same engine and have the exact same specifications. The diesel Wrangler North America is similar to the Eurospec Gladiator. It has all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission and start/stop.

Driver rightly points out that fuel efficiency should be significantly better than the gasoline Wranglers. The turbo-four returns up to 21 miles per gallon and the Pentastar mill returns up to 20 mpg.

An Electrified Version Is Planned:

Prices have not yet been revealed, but expect to pay a substantial premium considering that the diesel engine adds $4,995 to the 2020 Ram 1500.

The 2020MYWrangler also features two new editions, which were announced yesterday – the return to the Willys as well as a first-ever Black & Tan.
