The Avant is a 700-horsepower horse with a screen integrated into the steering wheel.
Chris Harris stated that he prefers the design from the old Audi RS6 to the new in a Top Gear interview. It’s easy to see his motivation, especially when the C7-generation wagon is painted in Riviera Blue. You’ve probably noticed that this Avant is not your average family hauler. Ingolstadt has made quite a few modifications to the vehicle.
Auditography owns this RS6 facelift. The skilled photographer who immortalized all things with Four Rings uses a full ABT bodykit and the tuner’s 22-inch alloy wheels. The extra carbon fiber bits outside may look familiar as many were taken from the tuner’s RS6-R, which was introduced in 2014.
The twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 has been tuned to produce 700 horsepower and 700 lbft (950 Newton-meters) torque. The RS6 also has an aftermarket exhaust that sounds almost like a machine gun, which is fitting considering its muscled appearance.
The C7.5 high-performance Avant can reach 62 mph (100 km/h), from a standstill, in just 2.91 seconds. It completes the 0-124mph (0-200km/h) run in 10.89 seconds. Finally, it reaches its maximum speed of 205 mph (335 km/h). This is a very respectable performance for such a heavy and large wagon, which some consider the ultimate family car.
The interior is pretty much stock. However, one thing makes all the difference. The custom steering wheel is made from a combination carbon fiber and Alcantara. It has blue stitching that matches the exterior shade of the RS6 Avant. The steering wheel features nifty shift lights, a small LCD embedded at 12 o’clock, and carbon fiber paddles behind it for additional effect.
It is truly stunning and shows that even a highly desirable car like the Audi RS6 Avant, regardless of its age, can be enhanced without spending a lot on aftermarket upgrades.
