The Raptor may have been able to demonstrate his power with the 2021 RV and trailer-towing guide.
We have been waiting eagerly for Ford’s response on how powerful the new F150 Raptor is. The company displayed the truck in February but did not reveal any information about the engine, such as horsepower or the 60-second sprint. We may now know the power of the Raptor’s new 2021 Ford RV and trailer towing guide thanks to an earlier look by .
The chart shows that Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost HO V6 Powerplant (or HO) continues to produce the same 450 horsepower (336 Kilowatts) as last year. It also produces the same 510 pound-feet (691 Newton-meters) of torque. Peak horsepower is not available until 5,850 RPM, whereas it was 5,000 in the previous version. However, torque can reach its maximum at 3,000 RPM rather than 3,500.
This chart confirms that the setup can tow 8,200 pounds and carry 1,400 pounds. We already knew this at launch. These figures are 200 pounds more than the Raptor’s previous Raptor in both these respects. Ford has yet to confirm the claimed horsepower and torque figures.
If you are looking for more power in your Raptor, don’t despair. Ford is working on a powerful Raptor R, which will feature a supercharged V8 engine and around 700 horsepower (522 kW). We have seen spy photos of the supercharged truck being tested on roads close to Ford Headquarters in Michigan. And we even caught that amazing engine on camera.
The new Ford F-150 Raptor will be available for purchase sometime in the future. Its starting price is $64,145. This represents an increase of over $10,000 over its predecessor. The previous Ford F-150 Raptor was available in a Supercab base trim, but the new model will only be available in Crew Cab form.
