According to reports, the Toyota Grand Highlander will be coming in 2023

It should be between the Highlander or Sequoia.

According to Automotive News, Toyota will launch the three-row Grand Highlander in 2023. This is part of a brand expansion. In December 2020 , the company filed a trademark for the name.

The Grand Highlander will fill in between the existing Highlander (which is available as a three row) and the larger Sequoia. Because the current layout is a bit cramped for people in the third row, the larger model will likely offer more space for those in the back.

The Highlander’s latest generation was introduced in 2019, and went on sales in 2020. The 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 295 horsepower (220kilowatts) as well as 263 pound-feet (357 Nms). Another option is the hybrid-assisted 2.5 liter four-cylinder, which produces 243 horsepower (181 kW) combined. The Grand Highlander, it seems, would have the same options.

A new Sequoia is also in development. It will be available for purchase for the 2023 model-year. The body-on-frame chassis is adapted from the next-gen Tundra pickup.

In the next few years, Toyota will offer a strong crossover and SUV lineup. The smaller end of the range will be occupied by the Grand Highlander, new Sequoia and the Corolla Cross. It will be offered in the USA with a 2.0-liter four cylinder producing 169 horsepower (126 kW), and 150 lbft (203 Nm).

In some markets, the Corolla Cross has a hybrid powertrain. Although Toyota is not confirming whether this engine will be available in the US, it appears likely.

The new Tundra is expected to debut soon. The Tundra will be powered by a gasoline-fueled twin-turbo V6 engine and , or a diesel with hybrid assistance.
