AddArmor Unveils the Armored Hennessey VelociRaptor that Can Take A Bullet

This truck can be transformed into a mobile safe-room.

The company bills itself as designing and providing mobile safe rooms. These well-armored vehicles can be used anywhere, anytime. The outfitted Ferrari 458 Speciale as well as the high performance Audi RS7. However, the company’s latest offering is an armored Hennessey Velociraptor. For a truly impressive package, the company combines Dynema armor and Hennessey’s 600-horsepower enhancement for the Ford Raptor.

AddArmor uses Dyneema to make its armor. This polycarbonate composite is said to be 15 times stronger than steel, and 40 percent more durable than Kevlar if weighted for weight. It can withstand AK-47 rounds and improvised explosives. The company doesn’t just add armor to protect the truck; it also includes cutting-edge security features.

This security package also includes an anti-attack sound system and electric-shock handles for when things get a little tense. Package includes hidden front and rear bumpers, dual battery system, sirens and stones lights, an operational intercom system and “bomb scanning capabilities.” AddArmor also has run-flat tires that can travel up to 50 mph (80 km/h). Brembo brakes offer extra stopping power and a front suspension leveling system keeps things on a level keel.

The security package can be interchangeably adjusted to suit customers’ needs. It is equipped to a Hennessey VeloCiRaptor pickup. The package boosts the Raptor’s stock horsepower of 450 horsepower (335 Kilowatts) to 600 horsepower (447 kW). Hennessey’s high flow air induction system and stainless steel exhaust system make it possible to sprint from zero-60 miles per hour (96 km per hour) in 4.2 seconds. Available for new and used vehicles, security packages start at $30,000.
