Alfa Romeo Giulia And Stelvio Go Dark With New Nero Edizione Packs

Exterior is decorated with Nero Edizione, which has shadowy trim and black accents.

Alfa Romeo arrives in New York, with special edition models for the Giulia or Stelvio. Nero Edizione packages add a touch of style to the sedan and SUV. These tweaks are only available to models powered by the turbocharged 2.0-liter engines with 280 horsepower (209 Kilowatts).

The grille surround on both Nero Edizione models is in Dark Miron, which Alfa Romeo calls Dark Miron. This color is also used on exterior badges and mirror caps. The headlight bezels are surrounded by shadowy trim, while the windows are surrounded by gloss black pieces. Alfa adds a monochrome version of its badge on the wheel caps. The brake calipers are available in yellow, red, and black. A set of dark exhaust tips will be added to the package later, but they won’t be available at launch.

There are a few upgrades for the Giulia, Stelvio and Stelvio in Nero Edizione. The Stelvio has Dark Miron applique to the rear fascia, and gloss black roof rails. The SUV also rides on 20-inch Dark Miron aluminum wheels. The Giulia comes with its own set 19-inch wheels in Dark Miron.

Alfa Romeo has seen a significant boost in sales from Stelvio and Giulia, even though the brand is not well-known in the United States. Alfa reported that it delivered 150,722 vehicles worldwide in 2017, a 62 percent increase over 2016. The brand shipped 12,031 units in the United States, which is a 2,232-percent increase thanks to the new SUV and sedan.
