The Akrapovic titanium exhaust is a great option.
Since their March launch, we haven’t seen much about the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA or GTAm. Although it is not clear if Alfa will bring these models to the US, considering their limited production and America’s fear of sedans, it seems unlikely. Customers in countries where the car is available are enjoying the ride. Gumbal has released a new video that captures the V6’s powerful exhaust note.
As it accelerates away, the Giulia GTAm emits all the right sounds, including rumbles and pops. It features a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that makes 553 horsepower (398kW), more than the existing mill’s 505-hp (377kW) tune. The GTA mill is identical to the GTAm’s, but the GTAm has a few small details that show it cares about performance: a large front splitter and carbon fiber rear wings.
The Alfa’s magnificent soundtrack is made possible by Akrapovic’s titanium exhaust system. It ends in two round, central-exit exhaust tips. This is just one of many changes Alfa makes to its GTAm. It also features carbon fiber seats and six-point harnesses. Alfa also removed the rear seats to further reduce its curb weight, and replaced them with Alcantara. It weighs in at 221 pounds (100 kg) less than the Giulia Quadrifoglio and can sprint to speeds of 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in just 3.6 seconds.
Alfa also made several changes to the car that improved its performance, including widening the front track by 2.0 inches (50 mm) and adding shocks, springs and bushings. Alfa plans to make 500 units of the GTA and even more GTAm. Although the exact date of its planned North American visit is not known, we are hopeful after watching this video.
