Alpine A110 Hybrid with 400 HP, All-Wheel Drive

Unfortunately, it’s not meant for production.

An Alpine hybrid will never be made. The Renault Group’s manufacturer is working towards an electric 100-percent future. However, there is an Alpine A110 hybrid, even though it wasn’t made by them.

Technomap, a tech company that is an expert in electrical architecture, was responsible for this creation. Unfortunately, we don’t currently have any photos. It is located in Martin-Eglise near Dieppe, the location where the Alpine cars were made. Technomap’s goal was to show its expertise in electrification. To do this, they built a running prototype hybrid prototype using the A110.

Technomap isn’t the only one working on the Alpine A110. In fact, Technomap helped Dieppe-based sports car manufacturer A110 Vision with its vision concept. Christophe Vergneault is one of the top-ranking managers in the company.

“At that time, we did all of the electrical architecture, mechanical integration, and tuning on the circuit. “We were proud… but couldn’t talk about it.”

The specialists optimized the 1.8-TCe engine for this project. They added an electric motor to the front and placed a battery between the seats. It was converted to run on ethanol, and its power increased from 252 horsepower (185 Kilowatts), to 400 hp (294kW). This could be the most powerful A110 anywhere in the world, with this output.

Technomap and ID Concept funded the prototype, which cost the company EUR500,000 or $565,000 at current exchange rates. The hybrid Alpine A110 will not be sold, but it will pass multiple tests and be presented to car makers. The electrified sports car will soon be able to hit various tracks including the Dreux circuit and Bugatti’s testing circuit as well as Le Mans.
