Alpine A110 Trackside Cars Make Their First Debut as Rad Daily Commuters for F1 Drivers

Building brands 101.

Alpine F1 is on a mission: to create a brand. Alpine, a new player in performance coupes, has big ambitions to continue its success with the A110 sports coupe. Renault changed the name of its Formula One team to Alpine, replacing its yellow and black colors with Alpine blue. This was done in order to increase its Alpine performance brand. Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon will be driving to the European Grand Prix in customized Alpine A110s, which share a livery that is shared with their F1 cars.

The Alpine A110, a lightweight mid-engine sportscar designed for drivers, is the relaunch of the Alpine brand. The driver-centric vehicle was not designed to record lap times, but to bring joy to the pilot and passengers.

F1 drivers Esteban Acon and Fernando Alonso based the Alpine A110s driver on the top trim A110S. The A110S’ turbocharged inline-4-cylinder engine produces 288 horsepower (214 Kilowatts), and 236 lb/ft (320 Newton meters) of torque. The lightweight A110S is only 2455 pounds, making it an impressive driver’s car. The A110S can accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 155mph.

The only way to obtain an A110S with this exclusive livery is to be an Alpine Formula One driver. This makes them extremely rare and special.

We will be able to see the A110S in action tomorrow at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, Italy. We look forward to seeing more of the A110S in action throughout the Formula One Season as the year progresses.
