Nissan announced that the new Fairlady Z is now available in Japan. This edition marks the 40th anniversary of Nissan’s Fairlady Z. The new Fairlady Z may be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show. The 6-speed manual is priced at Y=4,483,500, which amounts to EUR33,043/ US$49,000.00, and the 7-speed automatic at Y=4,588,000.500 (EUR33.817/ US$50.455).
Fairlady’s badge dates back to October 1969, when the Fairlady Z (aka Datsun240 Z) was created. The name Fairlady Z has been a symbol of excellence in affordable sports car manufacturing for over 40 years.
This limited-edition Coupe starts its life as a Fairlady Z. It has a front spoiler, rear spoiler, and Nissan Sport brakes. Additional features include a 40th Anniversary leather/suede fabric combination for seats with memorial engraving on seat backs, leather-covered steering with red stitching, kneepads in driver and passenger seats, and dark chrome forged aluminum wheels with special sport brake callipers. The model was painted in a unique metal grey.
The same naturally aspirated, 3.7-litre V6 produces 244kW (332hp), and 366Nm (267 lb-ft), of power.
