Another Ford Bronco gets a snowy interior after sitting outside in the storm
After a blizzard, it’s the second time that we have seen snow in a Bronco.

Is there a problem with the tops of the Bronco ? After sitting out in the blizzard, a Bronco owner in Canada’s northern reaches discovered his interior was literally covered in snow. Despite the owner promising Motor1.com the soft top and windows were secure, there was much controversy surrounding the images, with many believing that something was deliberately left open.

After sitting out in the snow and 60 mph winds, a second Bronco owner now has a snowy interior. Bronco6g.com forum user BroncoCanuck shared two videos from inside a 2021 four door Big Bend trim level. These videos captured snow as it came in. The snow on the driver’s side rear seat is a thin coating with more snow around one of its top hinges. The headliner is covered in snow, and more snow accumulates at the back. The video shows the connections at the top, with BroncoCanuck verifying that everything was securely shut and properly secured.

These videos can’t be embedded, but they are available at the Bronco6g.com Forum Post . Below are screen shots. A forum member suggested that towels be placed around the rollbar, where the top rests. This, along with repositioning of the Bronco, kept any additional snow from entering. Some members also suggested that alignment issues at the top might be a problem. Mid-point latches at B-pillar could also be problematic, which can be finicky. BroncoCanuck confirmed that everything was properly secured and latched in a message to motor1.com. One forum member claims that their Bronco survived a similar snowstorm outside. Motor1.com reached out to Ford for any inquiries or concerns regarding soft tops sealing. A spokesperson said the following:

“We have never seen anything like this if the roof is left open or not secured. To check what may have occurred in these photos, the customer should notify their dealer. Warranty coverage would apply if there is an issue. This is speculation until the inspection is complete. Is it user error or a design problem? It will be interesting to see whether more snowy Bronco interiors are reported in the United States or Canada, as large parts of the country is currently experiencing extreme winter weather.
