Apollo Project Evo is the Otherworldly Successor to IE Hypercar

Are you averse to the IE hypercar? This is your chance to get it.

Apollo Automobili is a part of hypercar conversation, particularly those with an emphatic appeal. This is especially true for the Apollo Intensa Emotion, or Intense Emotion in Italian, or Apollo IE. We can imagine that many intense emotions were experienced upon seeing the Apollo IE.

It looks like the Apollo IE will soon be replaced, or at least a replacement within Apollo’s limited range. The Apollo Project Evo cover was shown off at the China International Import Expo, Shanghai. It convinces us that alternative design is still in fashion.

The Apollo Project Evo is visually a lot more complex than the rest. There are lots of lines and creases as well as lots of light signatures. The most notable feature is the pair X-shaped daytime running lamps up front. They are reminiscent of the Bugatti Flash, but in a more wild way.

The front’s intense expression is also reflected in the rear. However, six red LEDs representing the Project Evo’s taillights are shown. They appear as six lines.

Apollo claims that the Project Evo includes a complete suite of active aerodynamics including an adjustable and deployable rear spoiler, aero fins and triangular air intakes that can be clearly seen from the sides.

The Apollo IE’s 6.3-liter V12 is the powertrain, but details about the Project Evo’s powertrain are still to be released. Apollo spoke of the advanced carbon monocoque chassis and a handling package that “ensures raw power and emotional aesthetics can be matched by peerless handling, driving dynamics, and handling.”

The EVision Concept was presented side-by-side alongside the Project Evo at China’s auto show. It basically announced Apollo’s move to electrified mobility. The vehicle is described as “a smarter, connected and more emotional clean-air automotive brand around the world.”
