Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition Launches with More Power and Aero Upgrades

It’s the 2021 Formula 1 Safety Car.

Aston Martin suggested that a smaller version of the Vantage would be released at the start of the month, when the high-performance coupe was introduced as the official Formula 1 Safety Car. Gaydon published a teaser photo confirming his plans to sell a comparable version of the Vantage to all people (well, those who can afford it). The F1 Edition is now being wrapped.

This car is basically the same. The twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 engine from AMG origins has been modified to produce 528 horsepower or 25 more horsepower than before. Although torque remains the same at 505 lbf (685 Newton-meters), Aston Martin claims that it is now more stable to increase its tractability and improve in-gear urgency. Engineers also tweaked the eight-speed automatic transmission to provide faster gear changes and a more direct feeling.

The Vantage F1 Edition has a revised oily bit and a upgraded chassis thanks to changes made in the suspension and steering. The car also had to be modified underbody to make it more maneuverable.

You can see the wheels measuring 21 inches rather than the usual 20-inch set to tell that this Vantage is different. This is the first time Aston Martin has given the sports coupe wheels such a large size. They are wrapped in Pirelli low profile tires. The aerodynamic package, which adds 200 kg of downforce to top speed, is what grabs attention most.

There’s more! You can choose between a satin or gloss finish for the F1 Edition. The interiors come with unique leather and Alcantara upholstery, as well as solid matte dark grey body graphics.

Aston Martin will also sell the Vantage F1 Edition as a roadster. It is already accepting orders for both body styles. The price of the coupe is £14,000 in the UK, and EUR162,000 in Germany. The first cars will be delivered to customers in May.
