Can you spot the differences?
The Audi A8L Horch will be making its public debut at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show. But, before that, Audi has provided us with a glimpse at the new luxury model. Unfortunately, the sedan is only available in China. It will be sporting the brand’s highly coveted Horch badge, which denotes its luxurious nature. This model will be able to compete with the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class S-Class in Asia thanks to a number of upgrades over its standard A8.
The A8 L 130 millimeters (5.1 in) longer than the standard model A8. It measures 5.45 meters (17.88 ft) long. The extra space between the wheels makes the A8 L 130 millimeters (5.1 inches) longer than the standard A8, which measures 5.45 meters (17.88 feet). This allows for a spacious rear seat, where owners will spend most of their time being chauffeured around. Extensive exterior upgrades include a gray or a green paint, polished 20-inch wheels and Horch badges. Both standard features include OLED taillights and Digital Matrix LED headlights.
The engine is powered by Audi’s turbocharged 3.0-liter H6 and its 48-volt mild hybrid system. This powertrain will generate 340 horsepower (253 Kilowatts) as well as 368 pound-feet (568 Newton-meters) torque. The sedan will be comfortable, not just for its power. It is paired with the Audi Quattro all wheel-drive system and an eight-speed manual gearbox.
The A8 L Horch comes with a B&O 3D stereo system, in-car scents, and an negative ion air purification unit. Both the front and rear seats offer eight massage modes. The rear seats have a central screen that controls various vehicle functions. Horch touches are also found throughout the interior of the car, such as the center armrest at the rear.
Audi will reveal the A8L Horch, which will be presented as the Horch founder Edition on November 19. Although the new Horch isn’t significantly different from the A8, the subtle badges give away its true status.
