This kit only requires three pieces to make the R8 more aggressive.
The Audi R8 is a supercar that comes straight out of the factory. Audi Exclusive’s range of options, such as custom engraving for carbon fiber on the side blades adds more opportunities for customers to customize their ride. Vorsteiner’s aggressive VRS Aero Program will satisfy some buyers who want a more wild looking car.
The body kit of the tuner transforms the R8’s rear and front. A new spoiler is added to the bottom of R8’s nose. The massive grille is enhanced by the absence of a front license plate. The tuned R8’s rump is accented by a larger diffuser, wing and other pieces. Vorsteiner shows off the parts further by mounting a large set of its wheels on the R8. The satin-effect paint looks amazing under studio lights.
These components are made from carbon fiber by Vorsteiner. They attach to the factory mounting points which should make it easy to install. The front spoiler, rear diffuser and wing are now $2,695, $3.295, and $2.895.
While the second-generation R8 is available with a tune of a 5.2-liter, V10 engine, there are rumors that Audi intends to bring the supercar downmarket by installing an even smaller mill inside the engine bay. According to rumors, the powerplant will be the same biturbo-2.9-liter V6 that is currently in the Porsche Panamera. The next-generation Audi RS4 allegedly has the same engine but with tweaks to increase the power output to 450 horsepower (335 kilowatts and 442 poundfeet (642 Newton-meters), versus 440 hp (324 kW and 406 lb (550 Nm), in the Porsche. This version would likely be cheaper than the Porsche and would also have lower taxes. According to a purported product timeline, the entry-level R8 version could be available sometime in 2018.
