Audi RS6 Speedometer Doesn’t Work on Autobahn.

This is not what you would expect to see.

The Audi RS6 Avant offers a great combination of luxury, performance, capability, usability and comfort. As you can see, they respond well to tuning. The speedometer stopped working when the previous-gen model went flat out on an autobahn.

The C7-generation RS6 Avant stock version has a twin-turbo 4.0 liter V8 that produces 552 horsepower (412 kilowatts, 560 metric horsepower) as well as 516 pound-feet (706 Newton-meters). This one was tuned to produce 690 horsepower (515 kW or 700 millimetric hp), and 693 lbft (940 Nm). You can also remove the top speed limiter. The V8 sounds fantastic thanks to Akrapovic.

This run is quite busy on the autobahn, so it takes a few failed attempts to find a stretch of road that allows the wagon to reach its maximum speed. However, this gives you plenty of opportunity to hear the exhaust’s great sound.

The RS6 can accelerate effortlessly to speeds of 180 miles per hour (290 km/h) when the road is clear. The speed goes up gradually from there. At 324 kph (324 mph), something interesting happens. The speedometer stops working and then returns to zero. However, the car continues to accelerate. The GPS shows that the Audi reaches 198.2 MPH (319 km/h) before the driver slows down. This car is capable of carrying a large family and all their stuff at a very impressive speed.
