Put on your best headphones.
The engine bay of the Audi TT RS produces serious power numbers. The 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine produces 400 horsepower and 354 pounds-feet (480 Newton meters) of torque.
These numbers are nothing compared to this Audi TT RS tuned Audi RS with 616 hp (6460 kW) and 530 lb/ft (718 Nm). This video was created by AutoTopNL and is available on YouTube. This incredible example is even more impressive, as it has been allowed to travel unrestricted on the German Autobahn. It sounds amazing!
This tuned TT RS is more powerful than the Audi R8 Power Quattro which produces 612 hp (456 kW), and 428 lb/ft (580Nm) of torque. The R8’s V10 is twice as powerful as the TT RS’s 5.2-liter engine.
The baby R8 can reach speeds up to 155 mph (250 km/h) in stock form. It can also reach speeds up to an optional 174 mph (228 km/h). The TT RS seems to have had its limiter lifted with this uptune (otherwise, why bother). It reached speeds of up 197 mph (317 km/h), as you can see from the video.
Important to know that the GPS-based device on left shows only 312 km/h, or 194 mph. This means there is a slight discrepancy in the readings, but only slightly.
Despite its small displacement, the tuned TT RS still delivers impressive results. It is amazing to see how far aftermarket tuning can take the machine, unlocking its potential.
