In 19 seconds, the roof opens and closes.
The Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible is available weeks following the coupe’s debut. It is for those who want to combine power and open-air motoring. The cabin is luxurious, as expected from a British luxury brand.
The powertrain can droptop to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.6 seconds, and top speed at 208 mph (335 Kph). This is a tenth slower than the coupe’s 60 mph in 3.5 seconds but has the same maximum speed.
The Continental GT Speed Convertible is equipped with the technology to ensure the large coupe can handle corners. All-wheel steering is available and there is an electronic rear differential. The suspension is active air with adaptive dampers and an anti-roll system. Optional carbon-ceramic brakes can slow it down.
The Continental GT Speed Convertible is visually different from the standard model with a darker-tinted grille mesh, tweaked side sills and a dark-tinted front grille. Available in Dark Tint and Bright Silver as well as Black Gloss, the 22-inch forged wheels can be ordered in three colors: Dark Tint, Bright Silver, or Black Gloss.
The Continental GT Speed Convertible’s roof can be opened and closed in just 19 seconds. The soft top comes in seven colors: black, blue and claret. The interior liner is available in eight colors, including the hues New Red or Magnolia.
There’s a two-tone leather and Alcantara upholstery inside. It’s available in 15 main colors and 11 secondary colours. The steering wheel is covered in a faux suede material. The cabin is enhanced visually by diamond-in-diamond quilting. As trim, buyers can choose from Piano Black, Crown Cut Walnut or Dark Stain Burr Walnut. You can also choose from other wood trim options and an aluminum engine-turned console for a bit more.
A neckwarmer is integrated into the headrests of the droptop model. It blows warm air and is quieter that in other models, according to Bentley.
Bentley has not yet announced when the Continental GT Speed Convertible will be available for purchase in the USA.
