The interior and exterior are monochrome.
Why is Japan getting so many special editions? This week, BMW unveiled the 8Series Gran Coupe Collector’s Edition, and Mulliner now has a special Bentley Continental GT. The Continental GT V8 Equinox Edition is a monochrome edition that features a few unique interior and exterior styling touches. This Bentley special edition comes from the Collections collection.
Customers can choose between Onyx and Glacier White for the exterior. Bentley spice it up with its Styling Specification. This includes high-gloss carbon fiber parts such as the trunk lip spoiler and rear diffuser, side sills, and front splitter. A Moonbeam (silver), constant accent pinstripe is added to the edges of the carbon fiber pieces by the bespoke automaker. This takes five days per car and is painted by hand. The exterior styling upgrade includes 22-inch wheels in dark metallic tungsten.
The monochrome theme continues inside with a Beluga Black interior hide and more silver accents. The steering wheel and seats are adorned with silver contrast stitching. They have dual-finish veneers in Moonbeam over Grand Black that are hand sprayed. For even more contrast, silver is used on the seat edges and headrest panels. Bentley uses silver stitching for the diamond-quilted seat and Mulliner floor mats. This is made with a special thread with special dyes.
Bentley Continental GT V8 Equinox Edition features the twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 542 horsepower (404 Kilowatts) as well as 568 pound-feet (707 Newton-meters). The coupe can travel 198 mph (318 km/h) and 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. Japan is the only country that has this special edition model. The rest of the world will have no choice but to use it. You could also design your own.
