BMW created a special M3 Sedan to celebrate the Oktoberfest’s tenth anniversary with a Munchner Wirte livery.

BMW created a special M3 Sedan to celebrate the Oktoberfest. It features a Munchner Wirte Livery.

As a way of highlighting BMW’s connection with motorsport and the city of Munich, the special M3 has been dressed in Munchner Wirte to evoke the 1981 M1 Procar. The exterior features include Bavarian-style façade painting, blue and white twisted cords, and depictions of important Munich landmarks. There is also a Wiesn-Schanke beer tent at Oktoberfest, and a roast chestnut vendor.

Walter Maurer was responsible for creating the livery of the M1 Procar’s classic M1 Procar. Now Maurer is working on the M3 Sedan, which will be displayed at BMW Welt in Munich during the Oktoberfest. It will be on display at BMW Welt from September 19 to October 4. Maurer spoke out about his recent work and said that although the cars are quite different, it was surprisingly simple to transfer the design from the two-door BMW M1 Racer to the four door BMW M3 Sedan.
