More power, more torque and more carbon.
We spoke about Manhart’s BMW X5 M Tuning project a few days back. Although it was powerful and mean, we were more impressed with the company’s work on other sports cars. Manhart has just released a new, very capable coupe.
Fair enough. BMW M2 CS This package takes the MH2 GTR to a new level. The so-called MH2 GTR visually has many similarities to its motorsport brother. However, the design is enhanced by a carbon fiber wing at the rear and wider wheel arches made of carbon-fiber. The livery is a mixture of traditional BMW M colors as well as contrasting black and carbon details.
The engine is far more interesting underneath. Twin turbochargers have been added to the 3.0-liter inline six engine. It now produces 600 horsepower (447 Kilowatts) as well as 612 pound-feet (830 Nm of torque). This is significantly more than the stock (), which had 450 hp (336kW) and 406 lb-ft (455 Nm). Manahart’s turbocharger, intercooler and carbon intake system make this possible.
However, that’s not all. The exhaust gases are emitted quickly by a completely new stainless-steel exhaust system. The exhaust pipes have a 300-cell catalytic convertor and four carbon-sheathed 100mm tailpipes. The custom engine map controls the new hardware, and the upgraded transmission handles the extra power.
Manhart also modified the suspension with H&R and it also is asking for EUR18,907 to purchase the whole package or $22,871 at current exchange rates.
