BMW X7 Nishijin Limited Edition Japan: Only Three Cars

To appreciate this rare treasure, you must see its interior.

Japan has a constant supply of special BMW cars. Although we’ve seen many special editions released in the Land of the Rising Sun over the years, this latest release is most likely the most rare and exclusive.

The BMW X7 Nishijin Edition is now available. The BMW X7 is a limited edition, exclusive to Japan, and only three units are available. Only two units are left in stock at the time of writing.

Before you make your reservation and jump in, here are some facts about this special edition Sport Activity Vehicle.

Only one color is available for the BMW X7 Nishijin Edition. It’s Ametrine by BMW Individual. BMW uses multiple pigments such as mica and aluminum flakes to create deep colors with multi-layer coating. The result is a unique color that changes with the light and emits beautiful brilliance.

BMW Individual’s touch continues in the interior design, which features full leather merino in ivory color and Alcantara header. The cabin’s highlight is the Nishijin art in the interior trim and the front center armrests. The keyfob is also adorned with Nishijin artwork, which adds a special touch of exclusivity.

Nishijin’ori is used to paint the surface with gold-silver pigment or foil. This process is called “five-color layering of gold.” The decoration process produces different pigments, which appear differently depending on how much light enters the cabin.

Based on the xDrive40d Pure Excellence trim, equipped with 48V mild hybrid technology, the BMW X7 Nishijin Edition uses this trim. The price is 16,800,000.00 yen, or approximately $153,000 at current exchange rates. Delivery to the wealthy trio will start at the end of this year.
