BMW Z5 rendering

To show you what this sports car might look like, our artists created a rendering for the replacement for the BMW Z4 & Toyota GT86.

Our artists created a rendering of the joint-developed BMW/Toyota sports car.

The rendering shows a sleek coupe with a bold front fascia and twin-kidney grille. It is flanked by sweptback headerlights. Further back we see a long, rakish hood that intersects with a double bubble roof.

Although BMW and Toyota are not revealing any specifics, reports suggest that the model could have a carbon fiber tub similar in design to the i3 or i8. Rumours have circulated that the car may ditch the retractable hardtop in favor of a soft top. There are also whispers of a coupe version if that is not your cup of tea.

Although engine options are not confirmed, the car could come with a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine producing 190 bhp (141kW), 245bhp (182kW) or 270bhp (201kW). A high-performance Z5 M could be offered with a turbocharged six cylinder engine that produces approximately 425 bhp (317kW).
