Brabus Turns Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 Into A Devilish Flagship

Brabus can do three rows, but who says so?

Brabus has been a pioneer in the creation of aftermarket modifications to Mercedes-Benz cars. We saw a Brabus 800 version the Mercedes-AMG E63S a few days back, but it seems that the German tuner has now applied its sinister upgrades also to the flagship Mercedes SUV the AMG GLS 63. Brabus is happy to offer a three-row SUV.

It’s another Brabus product, and it’s well done. We just hope that the firm doesn’t stop following their pattern in tuning these cars.

This machine is quite large and has three rows. There is plenty of space to upgrade it for the Brabus 800 treatment. It’s a good thing that not one area was lost based only on the images.

The subtle, yet fitting update to the performance SUV is the addition of carbon-fiber bodywork. These kits are not just for looks. They also enhance the AMG GLS63’s handling and performance.

Yes, this is a massive set of 24-inch forged monoblock alloys wrapped in performance tires. Nice.

Brabus’s treatment doesn’t stop inside. The cabin is adorned with leather upholstery in a quilted design. The Brabus’ PowerXtra B40S800 performance upgrade is the highlight of the upgrade.

After a variety of aftermarket tunes, the result is 789 horsepower (588 Kilowatts) with 737 pound-feet (1,098 Newton-meters), of torque sent to all four wheels. The SUV’s weight is not a problem, and the sprint to 0-60 mph (100 km/h) takes just 3.8 seconds.

This begs the question: Is there anything Brabus can’t do?
