300 down, 200 to go
The Bugatti Chiron’s production speed is a bit ironic. Although they are not related, Bugatti takes its time building every Chiron at its Molsheim, France manufacturing center. Only 300 hypercars have been built since the 2016 debut of the hypercar.
You’re actually looking at number 300 here. Bugatti took some photos to mark the occasion and provided information about the 300th Chiron. Black would be the only word that could be used. What are the other words? Pur Sport. We are not limited by these metrics and can provide more information to hypercar enthusiasts.
Bugatti specifically calls the car’s exterior shade Nocturne. It is trimmed with a lot of carbon fiber. This can be seen on the mirror arms, housings and windshield wipers as well as the large rear wing and the front and rear fascias. The interior is trimmed with leather and Alcantara. This car is a Pur Sport, meaning it trades straight-line speed in favor of better handling. It’s only capable at 218 mph flat, but the modified gearing allows it to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), in just 2.3 seconds.
Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti, stated that Bugatti is the “most extraordinary, most powerful and most elegant hyper-sport cars in the world.” We are proud to announce that we have produced our 300th vehicle. This is yet another example of our ability in quality and customization. Customers will enjoy the Chiron Pur Sport. It is not only capable of incredible driving performance but also combines the highest engineering and design skills with exceptional craftsmanship.”
After all, 500 Chirons will be alive. Only 60 of those will be Pur Sports, so have a look at these photos. This black beauty could be your first or last .
