Buick has made a lot of progress in the last few years. A new report indicates that Buick is trying to revive its performance ambitions by bringing back Grand National and GNX.

Buick has made a lot of progress in the last few years. A new report indicates that Buick is trying to revive its performance ambitions by bringing back Grand National and GNX.

Car & Driver states that the sedans will launch in 2015. They ride on the Alpha rear wheel drive, which is currently the foundation of the Cadillac ATS. The Grand National will be available with a range of ATS-sourced engines, including a turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder that produces 272 bhp (203 kW), 260 lbft (352Nm) and a 3.6 liter V6 that generates 321 bhp (239 kW), and 274 lbft (371Nm) respectively.

The GNX would come in only black and be equipped with a twin-turbo 3.6 liter V6 producing approximately 400 bhp (298 kW).

Both manual and automatic transmissions are possible, as well as an all-wheel drive system.
