Cadillac Can’t Keep up with 2021 Escalade Platinum Demand

There are worse problems.

The Cadillac Escalade was already on sale before the redesign. The automaker had already received more than 6,000 orders to build the luxury SUV. The SUV’s demand is high. Fast forward a year. The demand is so great for the Platinum trim that Cadillac cannot keep up. In a recent interview with Muscle cars and trucks, details about Cadillac’s Escalade production constraints were revealed.

Prices start at $102,290, but that does not include the destination fee. Customers aren’t scared off by the six-figure price tag. A report from April revealed that the 2021 Escalade sold for an average price of $102,183 during the first quarter 2021. Schiavone stated that the demand for these top trims is greater than ever.

After Lincoln redesigning the Navigator in 2018, the Escalade received a major redesign. The Cadillac brand’s iconic exterior was redesigned with a new interior. This redesign emphasized luxury and technology. There were three OLED screens measuring 38 inches across. It’s loaded would be an understatement, as the SUV comes with navigation with augmented reality, Super Cruise and an optional 36-speaker soundsystem.

The 2021 Escalade was an important step up in quality, features, and demand. However, customers who cannot get one may be able to buy another. Customers may still be able to buy the Escalade V model if they are patient. It will reportedly use the 668-horsepower (498 kilowatts) supercharged, 6.2-liter V8 from . Cadillac might consider building them now, before the demand exceeds the supply.
