Cadillac Celestiq to Debut This Summer: Report

General Motors has a number of models that have been announced or launched within the past month. The Cadillac Celestiq will be a new model from The General. A recent report outlines a timetable for its launch.

According to Cadillac Society which cited unnamed sources privy the matter, the upcoming flagship electronic Cadillac sedan is expected to be revealed in the summer. It is likely to take place in July or august 2021.

What do we know about Celestiq? The luxury marque shared a few tidbits about the nameplate on Cadillac’s CES presentation. They mostly focused on the features that it will have. These techie bits include a roof with four dimmable zones using suspended-particle-device smart glass, controlled via a control panel on the center console. The teaser video below shows it in action. Up front is a full-width digital display, ready to compete with Mercedes’ dash-spanning BUIX Hyperscreen found within the EQS.

We all know that Cadillac’s flagship will feature the BEV3 chassis and the Ultium battery platform, which boasts over 400 miles driving range.

According to Cadillac Society, the production-ready Celestiq flagship will be available soon enough. However, it will not be on sale until then. It was previously reported that it would be available for purchase in 2023 or 2024. Buyers of the $200,000 EV sedan need to be patient.
