This is a tool that can be used to transport tools and materials to work sites.
Are you familiar with the Fat Truck The Fat Truck, made by Canada’s Zeal Motor Inc. is an amphibious truck that looks a lot like the Russian Sherpa ATV. The go-anywhere machine receives a new Zeal version that is warranted for the utility sector.
The Fat Truck 2.8P is a pickup version that can transport tools and materials to job sites. The Fat Truck 2.8P is essentially the same but has a bed that allows payload transport in harsh conditions.
The Fat Truck 2.8P can carry a payload of 2,200 pounds (1,099 kg). It can be used to ease work on difficult-to-reach areas due to its amphibious capabilities. You can choose between an open-cab or closed canopy version. But what really makes the 2.8P unique is the multitude of options such as the high speed capstan, vegetation control spraying device, water tank, firefighting foam kits, and small service cranes for storm recovery. The 2.8P is versatile.
The 2.8P is not a fast truck. The 2.8P can reach speeds of only 25 mph (40 km/h), and water wading is limited to 3 mph (5km/h), as well as climbing steep, muddy hills of up to 75% with all safety requirements.
The Fat Truck is a great off-road vehicle because of its light ground pressure. It’s rated at 1.6 PSI with its maximum payload. This is five times lower than the human footprint which averages around 8 psi.
The Fat Truck 2.8P will be making a public appearance at Utility Expo in Louisville, Kentucky, booth N1819, September 28-30, 2021.
