Challenger Hellcat tries to show off, ends up flipping Silverado

While the people are fine, the vehicles need serious attention.

In the United States, Coffee events and cars have been growing in popularity in recent years. However, the incident in Loveland, Colorado over the weekend has led to the removal of the Loveland Cars & Coffee event. One of the co-hosts of the show said that Loveland Cars & Coffee has been officially discontinued after the driver of a Challenger Hellcat ruined everyone’s fun.

What happened exactly? The muscle car leaves Cars & Coffee and quickly causes havoc. The driver tries to impress everyone by showing off his driving skills, but it is not something that anyone should aspire to. 700+ horsepower and cold tires make for a terrible combination.

Two videos taken from different angles show the Hellcat driver lose control and colliding with a Silverado who was doing its own thing. The truck was not just in a minor accident. It flipped on its roof, with all four wheels facing towards the sky. According to the Loveland Reporter–Herald the accident occurred on Sunday morning. One person from the Chevy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to Loveland Police Sergeant. Rob Pride. The situation could have been worse if there was a purple Ford Fiesta behind them. The driver quickly acted and hit the brakes to avoid an impact with Silverado and/or Challenger.

Capt. Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Mark Lyons stated to the Loveland Reporter-Herald that the accident looked worse than it actually was. Ironically, the Challenger’s license plates read “El Malo”, which is fitting considering what happened. Although it’s not clear if the traction control was disabled, it is obvious that too much power coupled with cold tires can lead to disaster.

It is not surprising that a message posted on Loveland Cars & Coffee’s official Instagram channel said “right now [hosting the event]” as well as criticizing the Dodge driver for his inexcusable behavior behind the wheel.
