Although it’s not the best, it’s still a good time.
User 0t60-3.0 from the received a Mustang GT Performance Edition. He recently took the fast, electric crossover to drag strip to check its performance. It put in some impressive numbers.
At 100.02 mph (166 km per hour), the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition ran 12.657 seconds in quarter-mile. It covered 60 feet in 1.99 seconds, 330 feet at 5.26 seconds, the eighth mile at 8.03 seconds and 1,000 feet at 10.433 seconds.
The Dragy app was also used by the driver. The Mach-E GT Performance reached 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.12 seconds and 3.89 seconds with a one-foot rolling out, respectively during this run.
Other attempts were made by the owner with the EV. It ran the quarter-mile in 12.81 seconds and 12.93 second. It took 3.91 seconds to go from 0-60 with a rollout and 3.78 seconds to get there.
The performance-focused Mach-E could go faster, according to several factors. It was not running in Unbridled Extend Track mode. The owner was also launching the vehicle for the first time. The tires had 42 psi, which is a little higher than what you would want for drag strip.
Because both electric crossovers are similar in price, the Mach-E competitor is the Tesla Model Y. Driver and a Model 1_ Performance were tested in May. The vehicle reached 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds using a one-foot rollout. At 113 mph (183 kph), the quarter-mile was completed in 12.1 seconds.
It is hard to imagine that a Mach-E track mode would be activated and the tire pressure would drop by half a second. The difference should be much smaller, however.
