This is quite a large wing.
These spy shots show the Chevrolet Corvette Z06C8 with a camouflage wrap around the body and not black fabric over the exterior. This is the production body. The Z06’s front gets a more aggressive splitter, which includes canards at the corners. The lower fascia is more open in the middle.
The inlets in the rear bumpers are larger along the sides. These inlets are large enough to trap every leaf, stick squirrel, chipmunk, and mouse that gets too close as the Z06 speeds down the road.
The Z06’s back features a large wing that has raised sections at each end. Although it’s difficult to determine, the openings in rear deck seem to be slightly larger. A bumper that has been overhauled has small vents at the corners. The lower section moves the four exhaust pipes into the center, and has mesh sections flanking it.
Corvette Z06 News: We can’t see any significant changes in the cabin from the outside. This is a pre-production vehicle so it’s possible to make some changes.
Rumours persist that the Z06 may use a dual-overhead cam from the C8.R racecar. This powerplant is said to have 617 horsepower (460 megawatts). The mill is said to have a redline of 9,000 rpm due to the flat-plane crankshaft. This should be quite impressive.
Chevy’s teaser advertising suggests that the Z06 will debut this fall. It is possible that the premiere will take place at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show in October. The sales would not begin until 2023. Based on the success of the C8 standard, it is unlikely that dealers will be able to obtain one of the first copies.
