Chevy Corvette Z06C8 C8 Was Spied On Video Lapping At The Nurburgring In Ger

It appears very fast.

Enjoy three minutes of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 lapping the Nurburgring Nordschleife. It sounds amazing.

The Z06 is returning to the Ring for further testing. The development team had planned to attempt a timed lap in August to test the car’s capabilities. The crew may have been practicing for another attempt, as the driver was pushing the Corvette hard.

According to the most popular rumor, the Z06 is a modified C8.R racecar. The 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 is said to be equipped with dual-overhead camshafts, a flat-plane crankshaft, and naturally aspirated 5.5-liters. It is said to produce around 617 horsepower (460 megawatts) and the redline could reach 9,000 rpm.

Tremec made the gearbox and it allegedly comes with a magnesium case. Another example of the transmission’s ability to make quick shifts is this video.

The Z06 features a more aggressive body, with a bigger front splitter and canards at the corners. The rear fenders have larger openings than the Corvette standard. The tail has four exhaust pipes that extend from the middle.

We have not yet seen the Z06. We have yet to get a good look inside the Z06.

Chevy may be offering an optional Z06 performance pack that includes parts such as the big wing and sticky tires. There may also be parts that are difficult to see. These components were not present in some cars tested.

The Z06 will be available for purchase starting in 2023. This indicates that the Z06 will be available at dealers by mid-2022.
