We love this idea, which is both unique and clever.
In April, we discovered that the company is interested in offering a single-cab, short-bed Chevy Silverado. Bob Krapes (Director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing) confirmed this to GM Authority. But, no timeline was set.
If you are among the many who desire this particular Silverado truck model, it is possible. As shown by JC Wheels in Mexico, which was posted on the company’s Instagram.
This Chevy Silverado Trail Boss has a regular cab with a short box. But that’s not how this silver truck came to be. This pickup is sporty and attractive. It was originally a “Work Truck”, which is a basic trim offered by GM Mexico.
The Trail Boss parts were then modified by JC Wheels. It appears to have been OEM parts. Trail Boss’ fascia was modified with badges, alloy wheels and side steps, as well as red tow hooks, badges and alloy wheels. The custom 3-inch lift has taken the truck from its humble beginnings to something extraordinary.
It is important to note that you cannot buy a Silverado in America with both a short and standard box. You can only get a crew car with a shorter box or a regular car with a standard box. You can choose to get the Trail Boss in either a crew or standard box cab, or in a double cabin with a standard bed, as a Custom Trail Boss trim.
The Trail Boss with a single cab and RST trim is also available in Middle East countries. Should Chevy offer the same in the US as well? We’d love to hear your opinions in the comments below.
