The Bowtie introduces the Premium High Country trim. This softens the appearance by using metal cross bars to decorate nose and dropping large Chevrolet branding in favour of a traditional badge. This modified look will appeal to brand purists, as it looks more like vintage pickups.
The Silverado HD will be available in five trim levels at launch to cater for different segments of the pickup market. The grille will be different on each one. The Work Truck is designed for people who only need heavy-duty hauling. The Custom, LT and LTZ offer more amenities for families who plan to use the truck as a family vehicle. Even though the bed may be full of dirt, the High Country offers more luxurious touches to make it a more luxurious cabin.
Chevy is not yet providing photos of the interior. However, the company reported that the Crew Cab second row has three inches more rear legroom than the current truck. The center stack is dominated by a large infotainment screen, according to spy shots.
The Silverado HD will be updated by the Bowtie’s powertrains. However, the company has not yet provided many details. The new direct-injected V8 will also be available. Duramax turbodiesel V8 with 910 pound-feet (9,234 Newton-meters of torque) will be still available. It’ll also hook up to an Allison 10-speed automatic.
The 2020 Silverado HD will be fully unveiled by Chevrolet in February 2019. They’ll also begin arriving at dealers around the middle of the calendar year.
